Hi, I’m Millie - a queer photographer in Naarm/Melbourne! I am transfeminine, non-binary, multi-gender-attracted and polyamorous. I use They/Them pronouns.
Like many others, my entry into the queer world happened during lockdown. I discovered a love for photography during this time, and I am forever grateful for this medium and the way it has helped me process, share, and participate in my queerness.
I have a passion for documenting the beauty of humans and their endless creativity. Once I started attending queer nightlife events, I quickly fell in love with the community and starting bringing my camera wherever I could. I found that photographing performers was a wonderful way to meet others, make friends, and rapidly develop my artistic and technical skills with the camera.
As well as working and making money as a photographer of queer people, I feel privileged to be able to document this important time in LGBTQIA+ history. I believe that being an active member of and contributor to this community allows me to more authentically capture the love, connection, and artistry present in it.
